TrueCost receives the data from your smart meter when it's made available by the utility.
For the CenterPoint electric service territory, the reads come in several times a day. However, before the data is "released," it goes through several checks.
For example, there may be cases in which a meter didn't respond and the read for those hours is missing. Or, the data looks unusual and a re-read is requested just to make sure there aren't any mistakes. Occasionally, the utility may estimate intervals until it can be replaced later with actual data.
The data is "released" the day after it was created. So if today is October 30:
