Comments: I receive a double bill. I pay about .08 per kilowatt but yet I'm paying double that for a service delivery fee. In Jan or Feb I'm changing providers because of this.

Comments: Terrible customer service. Incorrect bills. Additions of services I didn't authorize to my bill... Yes they take them off, but it requires an hour of phone time to work your way through their terrible customer service. Go get your service from somebody else.

Comments: If I could give them zero stars I would. They have continuously gone up on their rates. The customer service is horrible, the only time they really want to speak to you is for marketing. I have spoken to them several times regarding my address and have been told they are working on the website (2 years). I moved to a new house a year and a half ago and their website still shows my old address. I also have tried several times to change this online to no avail. Makes me nervous about my personal and banking information if their IT department is that incompetent. I would not recommend this provider to anyone. I am switching due to poor customer service more than price!

Comments: Excessively expensive. Spent an average of $150/mo on a 2 bed apartment with AC at 75 and 1 TV.

Comments: Horrible customer service. The rep on the phone was actually surprised that I had been a customer for over a year and didn't have more call logs with complaints. I was given the run around for over a month and never received a satisfactory resolution.

Comments: I signed up for a plan that was on the true cost website, but direct energy would not honor it. I was told it had expired and they forgot to update their offers. I was also told someone would call me on 3 different occasions to discuss what offers are available and no one ever did. they might have a great deal but they dont seem to care about the customers.

Comments: Direct Energy has been charging me 17 cents per kilowatt since June or July. When I contacted them they refused to put me on a plan. They are still billing me at 17 cents per kilowatt. They will not adjust my bill. They told me it would take 2 months for the 9.4 cents to go into affect and it has not happened. They have shut off my power twice. This last time it was because of a mistake they made on my electronic bill. It said pay 308. I paid 308. When I called they said I owed 89.06 extra. I'm fed up with the thieves and rude people at the CS.

Comments: When I first joined these guys they gave me a good rate, now 2 years later without a contract they jacked my rate from the original 9.2 c/kw to 12.45 c/kwh and added effective rate in by making up extra charges to bring the effective rate to 2-3c/kwh higher. This basically makes it prohibitive for me to even be able to pay my electric bill. I think a reasonable FIXED rate would be 6 cents per kilowatt knowing what I know. It is true that we all are overpaying for electricity. I am searching for a 12 month plan at fixed cost

Comments: This company has been charging me $15/month without me knowing. Well, it's my fault that I didn't see Mt bills and assume that they wouldn't charge me extra. After the contract expired, I started to get emails about auto pay fee being charged. After reviewing my past bills I found out that they have been doing that for the past 15 months.

Comments: very poor service. I switched to another provider, then switched bak to Direct Energy in about 20 days. It took them three months to provide me with a bill ....and once they did the kilowatt usage was triple the kilowatt usage of any other month...i was forced to pay a bill of over $900 for three months electricity. Very unhappy with the service i am receiving from this company

Comments: I have a set work schedule therefore I am away from my home the same hours during the winter and summer months. However, my electric bill almost doubled in cost during the summer months compared to the winter. Customer service reps have no clue or explanation for the increase and offered no help therefore I am switching
