Comments: This company has been OK compared to whats out there as of 01-01-2017.. I have been a bit in question on a few Kwh usage charges on a few months, however, the overall 9.5kwh I pay has been ok without any hidden TDU charges and other sneaky charges these companies try to hit customers with.

Comments: I've had Frontier Utilities twice now over the last three years. I routinely shop my electric provider at least twice per year, and find Frontier to be one of the better plan options. I would recommend Frontier to new customers with a focus on low cost. I'm not concerned so much about green energy, as this sometimes gets distorted through offset purchases, etc., I'm much more of a "show me the money" person, and Frontier has delivered.

Comments: First time signing up for a 3 month plan. Great rates and it was super easy to switch from my other provider. I've had no issues at all. If the rates are fair when it's time to renew I will definitely stay.

Comments: At first, it was difficult getting setup because they kept confusing my name with someone else and their address. Once it was figured out, everything has been pretty easy and didn't have any problems. I would have kept them once my contract ended but the rates increased too much. Other companies are really competitive right now, so I went ahead and switched.

Comments: Frontier has been an incredible utility provider over the past year! Their customer service via email and phone is courteous and professional. Most importantly, their prices were great! For transparency sake, I only have a one bedroom but I don't think my bill has been more than $80 all year. I have not had any complaints. When there were issues or upcoming changes to my service, they reached out to give me advance notice. I have been very impressed. Suprised to see they don't come up as being a strong contender as I search for provider for the next 12-18 months.

Comments: I have never had an electricity provider that I have disliked as much as Frontier. I am automatically billed to a credit card each month but charged $5 for electronic billing opt-out! I've called a few times in my year with them and always been given super fast runaround responses without any real answers. Just now I've called about how I could have received a disconnect notice for $5.54 when - again - my account is set up to automatically bill my credit card each month. I was told the notice was generated before my payment went through so since they have my payment on file I can disregard the disconnect. I asked for a better explanation because, after all, I didn't choose what day they charge my credit card, Frontier does. Seems out of order to disconnect me when it's up to them when they charge me. I was then told they'd waive the late fee. Gee, thanks - but I wasn't late at all. I was further told it was a known issue and I shouldn't worry because they waived the fee. I am worried because customer service can't explain how it was generated in the first place and tried to sell me how happy I should feel about a late fee being waived when I was never actually late. Going right now to select my next provider. Don't expect anything but irritation from Frontier. Oh- forgot to mention although I try to compare apples to apples in selecting, I somehow thought they'd be reasonable and went with them last year only to have my highest ever electricity bills. I'm giving one star but want to give less.

Comments: Do not use Frontier Utilities. Locked me into a renewed contract while just searching their poorly designed website looking for the EFL fact sheets. Wanted to charge me $150 to cancel the renewed contract that locked me in, when my current contract isn't even up yet. Rude manager, poor customer service and good luck trying to get a hold of anyone. 3 days to cancel NOT.

Comments: Frontier is an excellent company to do business with. The only reason that I am switching providers is financial. Frontier provided us with contact to keep us informed about what was going on with our service. Never had any reason to really speak to a service representative, so I cannot speak to that end of the services. The switch from our previous provider was seamless and painless. The set up to have the billing put on auto-pay was simple. Never had any billing issues. Again, the only reason for switching service providers is financial considerations.
