Switching made easier on customers' wallets
No more switching fees!

Posted by Bobby Dornbos on 08/27/2012 at 3:32 PM

Did you know that fees for many common services are going away as of Sept. 1?
  • Standard Move-In Fee - how much a customer pays to have new electric service connected at a residence, previously set at $6
  • Priority Move-In Fee - how much a customer pays to have new electric service connected at a residence within 48 hours, previously set at $14
  • Meter Re-Reads - how much a customer pays to request that re-read of their meter to verify accuracy, previously set at up to $5
  • Out-of-Cycle Meter Reads for the Purpose of a Switch - how much a customer pays when an off-schedule meter read is needed for your last bill with a provider when you are switching, previously set at up to $5
These fee eliminations will make moving and switching even easier on you. Without having to worry about extra fees to establish your new service, you can focus more time on finding the right plan for your home! And you can pick your switch date so that your contract starts when you want it to, without having to worry about when your switch will happen or if it will break your existing contract.
