People are asking about electric fees

Posted by Shane McLaughlin on 07/24/2013 at 2:15 PM

Jeff Ehling, the consumer reporter from Houston's ABC 13 says people have been asking him about  the different fees showing up on their electric bills, including minimum use charges.

Summer is when many Houstonians start paying attention to high electric bills and recent Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) statistics show a steep increase in the number of Texans who switched electric plans and/or providers during May. Not all electric companies show fees in the same way on bills, so consumers who switched may be surprised by fees they haven't seen before.

Here's a link to the story that first aired July 23, 2013.
